Final Fantasy 7 remake will be episodic.

It doesn't look like this anymore.

Square has been revealed that the Final Fantasy 7 remake will be "told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience.".

and SquareEnix says FF7 Remake's data size so huge; the software will be split into several titles (for example, FF7-Remake 1, FF7-Remake 2)

It's hard to garner much from the trailer, but it's an interesting insight into the gameplay which looks to borrow a lot from the upcoming Final Fantasy 15. The atmosphere remains faithful to the original though, and the score is sounding fantastic.

Each episode will have to be fairly substantial for Square to get away with episodic content, hopefully it's handled well and there aren't large periods of time between episodes. All aboard the hype train.
