A Review of The Division

A surprisingly ingenious game once you're familiar with it.
The Division is some of the best fun to be found on the current generation; it most certainly isn't Watch Dogs 2.0.

This isn't going to be an in-depth review, our reviews never are, but there is something to be said about the hidden number system that The Division uses. It's unclear at first how it works, but once you realize the nuances of the Firepower/Health/Skill trinity you'll be min-maxing like a pro. Throw in the active abilities and perks and you'll have hours of fun refining your character build; unlike other MMO styled games, you're not locked into a character's build. If the group you're playing with need a healer, change your perks and become the healer; if they need a tank, equip the riot shield and run on in.

The Division is smart, fluid and, most importantly, fun. The only real negatives are the lack of character customization and occasionally getting confused with directions and objectives. In short, it's far better than a 68/100.
