Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus meet for 'update'

UPDATE Here's Kojima and Del Toro's keynote from DICE 2016: The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences is thrilled to induct Hideo Kojima, world-renowned game creator and auteur, as the 21st member to its Hall of Fame. Kojima is recognized for the best-selling Metal Gear series, widely considered the father of the stealth game genre, and credited with innovating story-telling and cinematic presentation in video games at large. The Metal Gear Solid series has received numerous D.I.C.E. Awards nominations throughout the years.  The 2015 Hall of Fame Award will be presented to Kojima during the 19th D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Mandalay Convention Center in Las Vegas by film director, screenwriter, producer and novelist Guillermo del Toro.

Could Silent Hills be back on the cards? Do we dare to dream?

Hideo Kojima has met with Norman Reedus to discuss his new company, Kojima Productions. The two were set to work together, along with Guillermo Del Toro, on the now cancelled Silent Hills.

With Kojima's PR track record, it is an unlikely coincidence that he would tweet a picture of himself and Reedus just days before he is due to give a joint talk with Del Toro at the DICE Awards.

The Silent Hill name still belongs to Konami, as does Metal Gear Solid, but who's to say there won't be a similar project under a different name. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Fingers crossed.
